How does HIFU SMAS-lifting by UTIMS work?

A high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is used during the procedure. It penetrates into the deep layers of the skin (from 1.5 to 4.5 mm on the face and 6-12 mm on the body), creating a spot of concentrated energy that heats the nearby tissues. As a result, the skin tissues coagulate, subcutaneous fatty tissue splits, and the process of collagen and elastin synthesis starts in the zone of exposure to this beam. Such a massive action provides rapid visible rejuvenation and tightening of the facial skin. Only one procedure is enough, and the effect can last for up to 1-1.5 years. Ultrasonic SMAS-lifting on the UTIMS device is absolutely painless due to a unique, patented technology known as CENTERLESS, which is a competitive advantage over other similar devices. The patient feels only warmth on the skin. A slight tingling sensation is also possible, one that does not cause any discomfort to the patient.

Procedure stages

HIFU SMAS-lifting by UTIMS does not require any recovery period afterwards. The patient can immediately return to their usual routine. Possible redness of the skin will disappear a few hours after the ultrasound facelift. Delayed onset muscle soreness may also appear during the first few days after the procedure.

Skin cleansing and marking.

Before starting the procedure, the specialist cleans the skin from cosmetics and impurities, makes, a special marking if needed (for orientation during ultrasound exposure), and applies a conductive gel to the skin.

SMAS-lifting procedure.

The doctor puts the nozzle on the device (the one selected during the consultation) and begins to treat the skin of the face in strictly defined directions. The duration of the procedure lasts from 25 to 45 minutes, depending on the area of exposure. During the procedure, several nozzles are always used to achieve different depths of exposure to stimulate all layers of tissues.

Ultrasonic lifting ends with the application of a soothing cream on the skin of the face.
