Having a smooth body without any extra hair is every woman’s dream. Of course, there are razors, creams, sugars, or waxes that help fulfill that desire, but you need to use these products regularly, as the effect of depilation is short-lived. We want it done once and for all. This is where laser hair removal comes into play.
Laser hair removal is a modern method of removing unwanted hair by impacting hair follicles with pulses of light waves. The laser beam heats melanin located in each hair follicle, and hemoglobin, which enters there through nearby capillaries. As a result, both the hair follicle and the blood vessel that feeds it are destroyed. Hair growth stops at this point.
Diode or alexandrite lasers are used for hair removal. They differ in the wavelengths applied for epilation. Alexandrite works at a wavelength of 725 nm. It is suitable for hair removal on light skin and affects only dark hair. Diode generates a beam of 800 to 900 nm, and can even be used on tanned skin and effectively affects any hair color, except gray. Sometimes a neodymium laser (with a wavelength of 1064 nm) is used for laser hair removal on dark skin.
Our clinic uses the most modern InMode Diolaze device for laser hair removal. The uniqueness of this device is that it affects the hair follicle with two wavelengths simultaneously. A laser combination (alexandrite+diode) can be used. This allows it to be used safely and effectively on any skin type and sensitive areas of the body, and to remove even ingrown or stiff hair.
