Thread Lift

A thread lift is a facial rejuvenation method using meso threads. The cosmetologist makes micropunctures that possess a diameter akin to that of human hair and introduces meso threads using very thin cannulas. Despite their microscopic thickness, meso threads are very strong, and not only improve skin tone, but also tighten the facial oval.

We use only the most innovative threads for thread lifts at our clinic, including Aptos, as well as Korean manufacturers. They are made from caprolactam, a biodegradable material totally compatible with humans. The advanced formula of the threads allows them to be harmlessly removed from the body after 1.5-2 years, while the unique shape of the notches serves as a reliable fixer for the tightened soft tissues of the face.

How does the meso-thread facelift work?

Thread lifting is a non-surgical method for facial rejuvenation. Threads are inserted under the skin through small punctures in the area of hair growth or temples. Meso threads are guided into place by predetermined lines. The threads look smooth, but they have micro-notches that allow them to securely fix in the surrounding tissues. This creates a strong framework. The ends of the threads are cut and hidden under the skin after the procedure is completed. It is impossible to find any traces of the threads even a few days later. Due to the low risk of trauma, a thread lift does not require general anesthesia. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia.

Procedure stages

Consultation with a cosmetologist.

This allows the cosmetologist to assess the patient's age-related changes, to select the proper number of threads for lifting, and to exclude the presence of any contraindications.

Cleansing and marking.

The procedure is carried out on cleansed skin, without makeup and impurities. After the area undergoing correction is thoroughly cleaned, the specialist marks the face with a medical marker. These lines will guide the threads into place. Thread facelifts are carried out under local anesthesia.

Thread facelift.

The doctor makes micropunctures and insert the threads along the selected line. The placement scheme is based on the individual characteristics of the patient and the degree of age-related changes.

Final step.

Once the installation of threads is completed, the facial skin is treated with antiseptic.

Rehabilitation after a thread facelift

There is no long or complicated recovery period after a thread facelift. Applying ice to the puncture sites is recommended during the first few hours after the procedure as this will help relieve swelling and any discomfort. Taking hot baths or visiting a sauna is prohibited for two weeks. Patients should refrain from touching their face or actively using their facial muscles in the first several days after undergoing a thread facelift.

Contraindications for a meso-thread facelift:

pregnancy and lactation;

acute infectious and viral diseases;

inflammation at the treatment site;

oncological diseases;

tendency toward keloid scar formation;

previously installed non-absorbable threads.
